Hotel specific training for hotel and restaurant personnel. An insight into all areas of hotel and restaurant service.

After this course the participant has the opportunity to take the "TOEIC" — Test of English for International Communication.

The course embraces the following – and more as required:

  • Tenses and Grammar:
Level 1 – A thorough review
Level 2 – a quick review of the main forms
  • Social Etiquette:
Introductions, greetings, small talk, good byes
Polite questions and requests
Giving directions, making recommendations

  • The Restaurant:
Serving and waiting on guests
Describing the menu
Wine awareness and correct handling
Food hygiene
Dealing with complaints

  • The Hotel:
Front desk - greeting visitors, reservations, checking in/out, payment
Housekeeping - room furnishings and equipment the hotel room, bathroom, room service
Conference facilities – discussing rates, equipment, table arrangements
The Bar - equipment, names of glasses, types of drinks, socializing
  • Telephone Skills:
Using the Telephone – preparing calls, taking messages, making reservations, dealing with complaints.
